These terms are the agreement between you and SnapProof Pty Ltd for use of the SnapProof app and website. By using SnapProof, you agree to them. Please read them — they're written to be readable.
1. The service
SnapProof lets you photograph a hire vehicle at pickup and, on return, re-capture the same shots using a ghost-overlay alignment guide. It then compares the two and produces a timestamped inspection report. SnapProof is a documentation and evidence tool — it is not legal advice, an insurer, or a party to any rental agreement between you and a rental company.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use SnapProof.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure.
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
3. Your content
You own the photos, notes and reports you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store and process Your Content only to operate SnapProof for you — for example, to align frames, run damage comparison, and generate your report. We do not use Your Content for advertising and do not claim ownership of it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SnapProof to create false, altered or misleading evidence.
- Upload content you have no right to capture or share, or that infringes another person's rights.
- Attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.
- Use SnapProof for anything unlawful.
5. Reports & disputes
SnapProof gives you well-documented evidence, but it cannot guarantee any particular outcome in a dispute with a rental company or insurer. AI damage detection is an aid, not a certified assessment, and may not catch every issue or may flag differences that are not damage. Always review your report before relying on it. How a report is weighed is up to the parties and any relevant authority.
6. Availability
We work to keep SnapProof available and accurate, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, and we may occasionally suspend the service for maintenance.
7. Pricing & payment
SnapProof offers two plans: $5 per scan (a single inspection — pickup and return of one hire) and $95 per month for unlimited scans across all vehicle types. Prices are in Australian dollars and may change with notice; the price shown at purchase is what you pay. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the billing period. Payments are processed by the app store you purchased through or our payment provider — refunds for store purchases follow that store's policy. During the closed beta, scans are free for invited testers. Fleet and enterprise plans are governed by a separate commercial agreement.
8. Third-party services
SnapProof relies on third-party infrastructure and AI providers to function. Their handling of data on our behalf is described in our Privacy Policy. The app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) have their own terms that also apply to your download.
9. Termination
You can stop using SnapProof and delete your account at any time — see Data & account deletion. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms.
10. Disclaimers & liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapProof is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes of any dispute. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under mandatory consumer law (including the Australian Consumer Law), which continue to apply.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory local consumer protections that apply to you.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use SnapProof after a change means you accept the updated terms.
